Dr. Mody graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Management from Drexel University in Philadelphia. He has a medical degree with honors from the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine (one of the top five medical schools in the country). He completed an Orthopaedic Surgery residency with highest honors at the University of Texas in Galveston.
He has also completed one-year specialized training in Spine Surgery with a combined Orthopedic-Neurosurgery Spine fellowship at the University of Texas - Houston / M.D. Anderson Cancer Center. He has published numerous scientific papers and has presented at numerous national and international medical conferences. He is an instructor at national courses teaching other surgeons about spine anatomy and surgical techniques.
In January 2007, Dr. Mody joined the prestigious Bicknell Orthopedic Clinic located in the Willis Knighton Portico Center across from the Willis-Knighton Pierremont Hospital. Dr. Mody has also been appointed Faculty at LSU Health Sciences Center Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and remains active in spine research and education.
His spine practice at Willis Knighton Pierremont ranges from nonoperative management to spinal epidural injections and finally operative care using proven technology and the latest surgical techniques. He welcomes both adult and pediatric patients and will tailor the treatment to your specific diagnosis and needs. You will be treated like a family member because he will provide you with a honest view of your condition and prognosis using anatomic models & your xrays/MRI, and all your questions will be answered.
